A friend of mine was cleaning out his recently departed Father in Law's home. He had served in the US Army in the early 50's. One of the items in his dresser was this miniature. I think he had won this in a competition of some type. Unfortunately, it doesn't say "Field Day" or have his name on it. Have any of you seen anything like this?

Hi Brian....appears to be a skinner knife more so than a miniature ..but more thoughts welcomed.
It also has the Othello marking by the Anton Wingen firm.

I agree with Larry. It is a skinner dated in the early '50's and made by a known maker. No real connection with the US Army.
Call me crazy but I think the fact that it came home with a US Army Captain who served there served the time and has "Rifle Range" stamped into the blade in English might lead me to believe it was a prize of some type, similar to the "Field Day" daggers. Unfortunately the gentleman passed away last year so I can't ask him. Back in the drawer it goes.
