I collected Prison/ Justice Official swords for years owning every known maker shown in Algolia's ref. Here's a new one by Alcoso! 1st I've seen! I freaking love these evil looking swords!
Enjoy!
Beautiful collection Paul. Thanks for showing these.
Have you ever seen a justice or prison sword that was personalized?
Thanks for showing. I've always thought they are one of the best looking Third Reich swords. Are the fittings the same as the ones by Clemen & Jung, WKC?
Yes same as C&J, likely the purchased the components for a special order.
Thanks! Congratulations on acquisition.
Oh, BTW, the silver, (justice Offical's) above is an example of the WKB offering.
Never seen a personalized example but would love to see one.
I once was heavily addicted to these and put it out there that I would pay stupid prices for them.
Was a wild ride for a few years!
This is my all time favorite. Grosser size!
Paul: did you also find the portepees for those beautiful sabres?
Oh yea, rare and freaking expensive!!
But what a ride!
Really a nich (sp?)market but honestly I truly enjoyed collecting these.
I like the unusual and the hunt!
All beauties, Paul. These are the times that make me want to rethink my no swords strategy.
And, it's niche.
John
Beautiful swords, and nicely photographed!
Easily the most impressive "prison" design. By PUMA.
Look at THAT eagle´s head!
Unfortunately not mine, shown by a member in german forum.
Regards,
And a justice unmarked one, obviously the CLEMEN & JUNG model, from my collection.
Regards,
Wotan, that's a beauty! Never saw one before.
Prison Official's sabre by Clemen u. Jung.
Justice Offial's sabre by WKC.
Wow some great stuff there!!!
Wotan that is a beauty to behold!!!
1st I've seen!
For some reason I listed WKC in my post as being like the C&J pattern. I actually meant Eickhorn but was wrong on that also as they are both different in design. Any way, here's my C&J.
Beautiful swords fellas a fine addition to not only a sword collection but any III Reich collection.
Heres mine came with the Heer portepee from the Vet.- Sword and portepee have that well worn look but still has plenty of gilting on the aluminum base.
Hello: Paul
In one of my factory Musterbuchs from Eickhorn I have a large original unpublished drawing of the Justice, Prison sword very well done by Casberg Berlin..Will be in future reference..
Regards: James
would love to see this!
Some
VERY IMPRESSIVE swords and information. Well Done!!
Fred
You know something I've never seen for sale anywhere is one of those robes with the insignia Judges wore in court.
Roland Freisler
I did see one of those odd looking caps the NS judges wore for sale once but never the robe.
Easily the most impressive "prison" design. By PUMA.
Look at THAT eagle´s head!
Unfortunately not mine, shown by a member in german forum.
Regards,
Puma nr 30 would have to be one of the hardest swords to find - period!
Hi here are my swords I'm not really a collector of swords I get them if there cheap enough and take my fancy. sorry for the quality of photos I will try to improve .if you would like a better one of anything just let me know. One interesting thing is the knot marked with justice official on a period tag .

diplo matt, first let me thank you for showing your additional pics to the thema.
You have some very rare sabers in very nice condition!
Just let me do some small corrections. The two knots, shown beside the one with the tag do look for me like custom knots. As justice knots officer grade are gold/red and prison knots officer grade knots are gold/green, these certain silver/green knots with silver in the bands seem to be custom officer knots.
And I have collector´s envy concerning these nice wearing-pics but not all sabers which have a eagle´s head are justice or prison sabers. I know this for certain because I have a nice portrait of the very same man (!) in which the hilt of the saber can be seen in detail. It is an armistice saber with pigeon/twig in the lancet and was worn this way by the army. This explains also the army uniform he is wearing.
Regards,
Hi Wotan thanks for your kind words .I will try tommorow to take better photos of the man wearing the sword there are some more in the album.it does look like a justice sword under a loop .I would love to see that photo what a coincidence. I have been collecting dagger and sword photos for 15 years now and have approx 1000, I will see if I have any other justice sword photos.when I obtained the knot with the title justice portapee on the label I wondered why it was silver and green,so when I bumped into the other two I kept them with it, Are there any records or photos of the gold and green portapee. I am not questioning your vast knowledge and experience just trying to learn. I can always put one of the knots on my customs sword. I also have a water customs sword do you know what knot goes on those. I love my accoutrements and am trying to complete my daggers and swords.oh just a by the by two of these swords came from Jersey .
Thanks dippy photo is the back of the tag
Here is a doubtless prison official saber portepee. Note that the strands in the band are also gold colored.
Concerning the photograph of the army NCO with the armistice saber I will come back soon.
Regards,
Hi thanks Wotan I know what I'm looking for now. I wonder why the supplier named the one I have with the card justice portapee ,maybe an apprentice error. I have taken a few more photos of the justice sword I will add soon.
Thanks dippy
Hello diplo Matt, perhaps this certain knot with the card is for lower ranks for the bayonet - although I doubt that.
There are a lot of knots around nobody knows for what they are.
Regards,
Very true Wotan and I'm afraid I'm a sucker for buying them first and finding out later ,however that's the collector in me.lol
Dippy
Hello diplo matt, at least you do have two very nice custom knots! These are at least scarce and might be added eg. to an EICKHORN "von Stein" which was one of the sabers recommended to be worn by custom officials.
Here you have the certain photograph. The man has a very(!) distinct physiognomy so you will easily recognize him.
The saber is not so easy to be recognized but believe me, when you do look with a magnifying glass (what I did) you can recognize the armistice emblem (instead of the eagle/swaz emblem) in the lancet.
Sorry for the bad quality, but due to crooks who do steal expensive photographs out of the net I am not willing to show quality scans any more.
Regards,
Gentlemen,
Thank you for sharing your iteme & expertise in this obscure & sometimes overlooked niche.
I would agree with Wotan that when I first saw the knots Dippy posted, that I too thought they were Customs affiliated based on the color scheme. The one with the leather strap I believe is for EM & rarely seen. Great stuff guys.
Hi here he is name and signature.

Close up
As I had to learn that even here photographs are "taken" ("booted"....????) by members without any permission or credit and are shown in other forums as it would be their photographs I had to decide that I will not show ANY pictures neither "wearing" pics nor photographs of my items ANY MORE.
Sorry, regards,

Sort of a test here.. Eagle head Armistice model???
The sword pictured in Wotan's post.. Does anyone know the correct Eickhorn Model number and the correct designation of the (pictured) (Key word here) sword ??
Regards: James
OK, I will give a hint ..It is actually a Eickhorn 1662 Police sword for a certain German State introduced in the Early 30s.And it seemed to be carried over. This is part of what period documents show...This comment is on the sword Wotan has pictured only... (Big hint)
As I said in the beginning I am not really a sword collector .so not wishing to appear thick
A. Do I own a justice official sword .
B.Are my pictures in the album of a justice sword,an armistice or a n other.
C.what are the values of the three swords inc accouterments .
The other issue of copied photos ,does not really annoy me but reminds me of the saying that to copy is the best form of flattery.I Am happy to show my photos as if need be I can prove they belong to me and that is after all 9 tents of the law lol.
Dippy
By the way that's tenths,
Ps why woman's photo and not mine ..?
Dippy
Sorry wotans ,ruddy predictive language programme.
Dippy
I guess it does not matter.. If the photos show the same sword..
Regards: James
DAMAST, the eagle saber shown in the photographs by diplo matt and me is one and the same, it´s the same person/wearer.
I did look through all my files but could not find the proper # for the armistice saber.
