How uncommon is a lion head sword by this maker. A friend of mine picked one up today and I'm doing some checking for him, sorry no pics yet. Thanks

Not too uncommon. But certainly less common than an Eickhorn 1706 or Alcoso 119.

The key is finding one in an odd configuration. I'm in the process of buying one in a specific configuration I have yet to see.

I`ve had a few of these over the years and the earlier the better.Find it in anodized aluminum and gilted brass. The thing I`ve never liked about this sword is the hoaky swaz.Looks like they did `em all on late friday!!
Still and impressive sword.
Congrats.

George,
One of your former PDL sabers resides in my collection. This one was built of relatively high quality, as far as and PDLs go. She's a darlin' of a saber.

I'm in the process is purchasing a C&J from a fellow collector who dug it up in a vet find. I think you all will like this one when I post her. Minty and a VERY unique C&J configuration. Original (to the best of my knowledge) service knot in tact and accounted for.

Hopefully i'll have it in the next 10 days and be able to share 'er.
