I've never seen 2 birthday gifts to the same person, he must have been much appreciated by his fellow hunters.

A nice plaque that I have in each case giving an explanation of the meaning on each reverse blade.

James

The 1923 piece I have had for a number of years and I found it over here, the 1933 piece I found only last year, Tom Johnson put it up on his website, I rang him straight away and bought it there and then, I really could not believe I could be so lucky to find another birthday hirschfnger to the same guy.

Thanks guys these two are pretty special.

Very, very special Baz, the centerpiece of any hunting collection to be sure.

G,

Now that's what I'd call a "dynamic-duo!" Smile

Your photos of the etch patterns are very good,
these etches can be devilishly tricky to photograph properly - well done! Wink

Best!

Gary,

They're both beautiful in their own right but I think the most special thing is that they're together again. Well done mate.

Gary,
To find one bithday Hirschfanger is scarce. But to find two to the same guy is just unheard of. To me at least. Wink
Fantastic as usual. Great historic named pieces.

Best of Luck in your continued search for the best.
