Hello, here is a WKC 1051 group. The dagger is in worn condition but what makes it special is that it did come directly out of the family of the former wearer. With the dagger did come several pics of the wearer, wearing this certain dagger. Interesting is also the "Ost" cufftitle which was worn by the man and which is in this group. It is nearly unknown that forest members did wear this cufftitle and how it lookes like in real.
Sorry, there are much better pics from this man wearing the dagger and the cufftitle but due to crooks which are scanning the net for good pics to download them and show them as their own I am not able to show more "wearing" pics.
Regards,

Is that a heer knot I see?
Great piece!!
Great hirschfaenger Wotan, that's just how you like to find them, a great addition to an already fantastic collection, these are great patterns and one of the most deluxe out there. Can you tell from the pictures the guys rank and what branch of the service he was in?.

Cheers

Gary
@ mrfabulous, yes he did decide to wear an army officers saber Portepee with this forest dagger.
@ Baz69, his rank in most photographs was Revierfrster. Branch of the service, sorry, I dont know, perhaps state forest?

That is really cool!!!! cool
Wotan, That's really nice! I have only one named older type Hirschfnger that came from the family. Nothing as nice. not even in the same category as this one. Thanks for showing it.
Hi Wotan

I thought because he chose to wear the army officers portepee you might have some idea of his Army rank, I couldn't really tell what uniform he was in in your picture, perhaps in other photographs it might give a clue or is he pictured only in this uniform.

Regards

Gary
@Baz69, I have him only wearing different forest uniforms with and without the "Ost" CT. You are right, as he wore the army Portepee he should have had an army rank but I do not know.
Regards,
Wotan

A beautiful piece whatever his rank, so nice to see a wearing picture of him with the exact hirschfaenger.

thanks

Gary
Superb collectible with provenance, it doesn't get any better
