Enclosed are pictures of a 1860 Prussian bayonet made for the Dreyse needle-gun. The needle-gun was short lived and most of these bayonets were latter modified to fit something else. This one still has an unaltered muzzle ring most were bushed with a smaller diameter ring. This is only the second one I have ever had. Their are no markings on the blade which I suspect were scrubbed off from over zealous cleaning. Anyhow I'm happy to snag one if and when they surface in any condition.

The muzzle diameter is 21.5mm which is correct for an unaltered 1860. I wonder if I will ever find a scabbard for it. The original ones were leather with a brass toe and throat.
