Hi andy im afraid i cant make any of them out , i'm pretty sure its NOT 253 , i think there is at least one 7 ?
the bayo has a nice patina to it the frog looks like its been there forever, i've always wanted an early horster , its remarkable the difference in quality between these early ones and the later examples Big Grin

Will, Very nice! Smile That looks like a reasonably decent rust blued original finish 1935 ("G") dated bayonet. Which are not that easy to find these days. Andy has the best information. But I think that Hrster in that year is seen with both the 117 and 253 Waffenmts. Regards, FP
