I received some sad news today, Denny G. passed away to day. He was a long time collector of WW 2 artifacts and a friend of mine. He taught me many things over the years and I will miss him greatly. Also the wife of Dick Hinshaw (Lola) also passed away last Nov. Denny and Dick set up at the Max and the SOS for years. Denny, Pat(Dennys wife), Dick and Lola told me many stories of there early days of collecting, it was a family affair with those two collectors.
I will miss both Denny, Lola a great deal.
Sad news, we have lost a good person and will be missed.
May he rest in peace.
I am so sad to hear this.
John
I often enjoyed exchanging emails with Denny. He was an extremely knowledgeable collector & a guy who would always lend a hand to someone less experienced. One of the good guys, I'm sorry to hear this. He will be sorely missed.
I new Denny. This is a sad day for our hobby. He will truly be missed.
Sorry to hear about this.. I will miss my long time table neighbor at the SOS..
One of the old time GDC member here is gone wow!
This is so sad. I met Denny two years ago at the SOS show and bought two German trainers from him, he was a stand up guy and this is a terrible loss to the collecting world. God Speed Denny...
At the request of John C Jacobi, here is a link as well:
