I was out traveling around today hitting some of my usual haunts looking
for various and sundry types of militaria. I spent a couple of fruitless
hours hitting dry well after dry well with nothing to show for it.
I thought to stop at a local antique mall on the way home and there my luck
changed. One dealer had a couple of K98 bayonets in his case, one a
mismatched clc1942 the other a matching jwh44 in about as nice a condition
as you could hope to find. When I was actively collecting '44 date K98 bayonets
this was one that had always eluded me , not even a bedraggled mismatch.
This one came with a mounted frog marked enn/43 the code for
Alois Grull, Taschner, Wien 75. All in all I'm one very happy camper.
Here are some pics.

Hi John,
I'm not sure the frog maker is rarer than the bayo but it is the first "enn" I've ever seen.
