There's a sawtooth Fireman's Bayonet on ebay that's awfully ugly. It looks like the teeth were added in someone's garage workshop. They go pretty far down into the fuller, but worse than that, they have a differnt profile on each side of the blade. What do you guys think? I think someone is going to be paying too much...

It's hard to imagine this one fooling anyone with just a little knowledge, or common sense for that matter. I'll be curious to see what it goes for. I don't blame the seller though, they clearly state that they're not experts and don't make any claims about it. They've had some really nice pieces in the past, they just put things up and WYSIWYG.

I agree with the others, this bayonet has been tarted up to sell. Very poor quality or uniformity on those sawteeth, but then you knew that. No inspection/return time offered either? Forget this one for sure.

Over the years I've bought tons of fire bayonets on Eban, a bunch of sawbacks too. Twice I bought what I considered VERY rare makers with sawbacks only to have to return the bayonets because they had teeth like this. Very depressing but these pieces are too expensive to overlook your conscience telling you it's bad.
