Nice knot! I have no idea.
But it would look good on one of my US 1902s that need one.

It is a British sword Knot .
They were used by the Royal Tank Regiment (RTR), The Rifles, Royal Maritime Auxiliary Service (RMAS) and Warrant Officers Class 1 (WO1) of the British Army.

Tanker is correct. British.

What time frame ?

From the age and appearance, I would say early to mid 40's.

It came with either an Edward VII or George V sword. My mother bought me one of each in the 1960's.
