Kind of odd??
Under two weeks till the largest military show in the USA, and no talk about it on this forum.
A sign of trouble?????

Ed,

I've noticed that over the years there is not very much talk before the big shows except the occasional "who is going ?" post. Maybe the guys don't want to reveal their strategy or shopping list ?

I am not going this year, but a couple of my buddies have my want list.

Top of the list is an Eickhorn SA transitional dated 1940.

I would gladly trade the triceps tendon reattachment and repair surgery I have scheduled for next Friday for a trip to Louisville but alas it will be me in a sling watching TWs videos for the time being LOl. Have fun everyone- mike

I have never been to SOS, but my friend always goes. He tried to make reservations at his usual hotel (Plaza??) and they told him that the media bought ought all the rooms. Something stirring?? He isn?t sure that he wants to go now.

Interesting- wonder what that means?

We made our reservations early this year(we thought early) about the end of August.
We usually stay at the Comfort Inn and Suits, but they only had a few rooms left then, and wanted $120 a night.
Only room we could get at a decent price was at the Roadway Inn, real great price, but never stayed there before.
All the motels on Phillips lane were booked up by September.
A lot of stuff going on that weekend.
The SOS
The gun show
The flea market.
The new car show
The Catfish Convention
I really doubt the media booked all the rooms.
But I am sure they will be there with there PC Bells on. Hope all works out well. Look what is going on in the so called NEW SOUTH the news is always commenting on.
Be good, Ed

Andy
Yes I do hope all goes well.
Would be a shame if all the hard work of Bill & Brian and all the others is abused.
Hope you can make the show. We will be there barring a blizzard.
Look forward to saying hello.
Take care

Well, Hope everyone has a good trip to Louisville.
There is a LOT going on at the Expo this weekend, so should be a lot to do.
I know Andy is looking forward to those BBQ sandwiches, but I'm kind of looking forward to the Catfish Convention. Lots of Catfish I have read.
Not much talk of the SOS on this forum this year, hope that is not a indication of the show.
If the sellers at the SOS are not motivated, I usually do good at the gun show.
Anyway, it's always a great winter trip.
It does make the rest of the years shows rather bland.
See ya
Ed
