Oh man,,,
Went to take down the Christmas tree this weekend and got a big " hold it!" from the wife...

She reminded me 'her' Christmas is this coming 7th! , and we'll celebrate this weekend. So its actually Christmas 2016 this week!
I don't mind,,a little [lot? ;)] Champagne and Caviar is always nice!

Yeah I grew up Eastern Orthodox as well, G....but we changed our Xmas, but not our Easter "pascha"...if you've never stood (and I mean STOOD) for an entire orthodox Easter midnight mass, you've never been more aware of the term "comfortable shoes." Happy xmas to your family, and may ded Moroz bring you lots of goodies! Slava!

Yes, no seats in the Church!!
Went to a couple East Orthodox weddings,,,never 'crossed' myself so many times in my life! I stopped counting at 40!!! Been to many weddings but those 2 were the most fun/enjoyable I've ever been to!

We're a big mix in my family. Most are Roman Catholics,,my son and I are 'Born Agains' and my wife and daughters are Ukrainian Orthodox! Holidays last for weeks at a time wink grin
