I received an email from Gaspare. He wanted to let everyone know he has been hospitalized twice after contracting Covid. He is now home and recovering. He said that if you are offered the vaccine, TAKE IT!

So has anyone heard how Gaspare is doing?
Thought we would have heard something by now, I'm getting worried it is not good, but praying it is.
I know the weather is bad. Was 15 below 0 this morning, and the lake is froze over. NOT GOOD.
Hope your doing good Gas!

I haven't heard from him since posting, but I'll pass on anything I receive. Scheduled for my first shot of vaccine on Saturday.

Guys,,,Sorry so long a post and not to have written sooner.. Its been a hell of 2 months for our whole family... My self, my twin daughters got Covid, One of the husbands, and now my 88 yr old Mother, and other we know.. We haven't really seen each other since Christmas and contact tracing said we all caught from different people/places..

- The first 3 days I just felt weak,,and nauseous, didn't know I had anything!. ..,,Then boom,,101deg fever.. In a couple days it was 103.. Was very weak. Week later went to hospital and they told me I had Covid-19 Pneumonia,, got fluids and a few days and as soon as fever went to 100 they discharged me with a few meds...

My wife is a first responder and has has her vaccinations for months now. but she has this gizmo the clips on your finger and tells you your 'Pulse/Ox',,the Oxygen in your blood..
Well my fever went to 103 again for a week and this pulse/ox was reading low. I didn't want to go back to hospital.. Over the next 2 days It went very low and my wife said "Your going to go to sleep and not wake up!"
-So back to the hospital. This time I got the Trump cocktail!.. An Intravenous infusion of - Antibodies, Remdesivir, a Steroid and something else.,,and, I got released a few hours later.. I started feeling better in the next 2 days.. Was weak and a slow recovery. Now a month later I'm Covid free and have the Antibodies. The Drs can't tell how long they will last,,2 months? 8 months?.. I will retest next month and then push to get the 2 part Vaccine..

- OH,,this is not the end my friends!.. My one daughter who is pregnant got covid a few weeks after me became very sick and ended up in Hospital.. There she became in 'distress', very sick,,they had to remove her baby,, at 5 months old!...
- Very rough time for the all of us.. My granddaughter is doing well now but has a couple month stay in the hospital. My daughter also doing well now and recovering at our house for 10 days.. We must travel to the hospital every other day with milk for the baby.. Her other baby and husband now fine.
Everyone else is now also fine..We dodged a few bullets..
- * SO, anyone tell you this Covid is all bullshit they don't know what they're talking about... Kills the the young, healthy and the old and infirmed. No discrimination with this stuff.

. * I'll be back soon... Some advice,,,wear you mask when out,,,wash your hands a lot,,do Not touch your face when out ,and most of all *-You get the chance to get the 2 part vaccine,, you take it!

Gas
Wow, what a ordeal, glad things are looking better.
This is why I have been nowhere, only grocery store every two weeks, and hate that.
I kind of thought big Joe was going to have a handle on this.
Stay warm

,,,yeah thought my bullet dodging days were way over!

The Dr.s and hospital all said long time smokers or current smokers, those with COPD, bad asthma, diabetes, bad high blood pressure usually fair worse,,i.e. end up on ventilators, or intubation..

BUT,,most Nurses and aids said death can happen to anyone,,sickly or the very healthy! They also said to - this is unofficial and I am not recommending - . to double up on vitamin D3, C, and Zinc.. I have been taking them since I got home but again not recommending to anyone else..

Stay well guys...
