It is with heavy heart and great sadness that I let you all know that longtime member here Andy 'Militarynut' Legere has passed on this morning.
His suffering is over and he has joined his beloved wife..

I know Andy since the 1970s. But the last 20 years we've gotten very close.. More family than friend...
Although a tough guy, opinionated, hard core collector, in reality a gentle and loving soul..

A consummate relic/antique collector.. A fine family man...

I will miss you brother,, Rest in peace...........

1939 - 2020
Andrew Legere, in Florida on December 21,2020
Beloved husband of the late Eileen Legere. Devoted Father of Denise ,Dianna, Yvonne and Cindy . Dear brother of Millie Karph. Loving Grandfather of nine and Great Grandfather of seven.

He was a good 'un. Always ready to give advice and help out.

I am very sad to hear this, I did not have much contact with him other than some email exchanges a few years ago, but I have seen his posts on this forum and others and he seemed to be a nice and genuine man. Rest in peace Andy.

Never had a good relationship with Andy due to his known positions on TK ring field (the only field where I read his comments, so I didn't know him at all!).
But this doesn't mean that his death is something that saddens me. It's time for him to rest. So, rest in peace Andy.
And God bless your family.

Anyone that met him knew Andy took a lot of stuff personal. But after a while he would tell me its the nature of this hobby, to not only to 'stir the pot,,but to knock it down on to the floor sometimes'!.. With you Antonio he'd say to me "lets see when his book comes out",,,and many of us are anxious to see it... He loved the jewelry forum here and all its members whether in agreement or not with them.

- Family and friends we all said goodbye to Andy this past weekend. It was very hard and I'm very sad... But I've had some very interesting and cool adventures with Andy over the years.

* This photo about 10 years ago , his 70th birthday.. He not only collected military but collected everything old and interesting. He was a force, a Titan among men....
This photo has almost our old complete show crew,,only 2 missing..

Hey G,

Always good to have those great memories. He will always live in our hearts and minds. Let me guess, you are top right and who are the gents?

Mikee, ,,,,,yes me... - I treasure those memories and adventures we had..

They are not members on any of the forums I think. Not sure they'd want to be identified...
