A guy at the butler pa gun show a couple years back had this exact thing. He also had an a and hind medal; could not verify if it was a good piece as I know nothing about the azad hind. But I do recall this one and I did some research on it however I do not recall the exact details. I do recall the seller was very insistent it was an award and I said it looked very much like a brooch of some third Reich cultural sort and I believe I found through my research an identical item that was in fact a brooch. I showed the man the research and he was very upset as he said this was an award worn by a man- not third Reich jewelry worn by a woman. I concluded that our conversation was complete. In fact I may have this post somewhere here on the forum. If anyone could locate it that would probably be helpful as the details are past my exact recollection.

Hi Vern, your brooch has a swastika , but it may have connection to the following:

A Farmers Traditional button, Traditions Abzeichen , from Egerland; messing gilded.

Egerland was before 1938 a part of Czechoslovakia ( most west part) with a German speaking population .
On the button are Germanic signs .
worn on a leather part on the front of the farmers trouwsers.

The original name is ?Huasnoantoutara ? , from an Egerland dialect .

Here is my button.
Hope you can find more about your specific button with swastika.
