On a shared note- odal and I thought we would add some Italian made rings here, all varieties... so, I'll start with a basic/classic- really nice aluminum pattern from African service, the camel. I wish it fit me, but it's about an 8.5....These were cut/sized/soldered, with the cartouche a chosen pre-made design soldered on as well. There were wings, crowns, crossed rifles, camels, tanks, etc. I have also a crossed rifles/crown on a pot metal ring too- so there were a number of varieties- please post yours! Here's a camel one anyway to kick it off...

A ring for the airforces:

Skull ring for the fascist squadrons in iron, nickel plated.
A brass variant is around also.

man I got about 7 or 8 of these,,,just can't get to them..


They had a flash plating that came off almost immediately I've heard. This one here had gilding on it.. This one started then all!

I have the same problem today, G- still want to see a shot of that "tank" we found last year... ah this is the best I can do on my pot metal one. Same thing,

This ring was featured here once before.. And,, MilitaryNut has a nice worn , but great shape example. I started my interest in Military rings around 1976. In all these years I've only seen 4. And mine has been the only boxed example.. Maybe this topic will bring out many more because as of now I consider this very rare ring.

This ring has all the Military emblems of the Italians/Fascists.. All very well detailed, high quality.

,, The emblems are really nice. So its got all the cool branch military emblems,,,and, hand carved embellishments on each panel!.

all the proper hallmarks,, and the inner band maker mark matches the top of the box.

this isn't made the usual way. It is multi piece [13 or so pieces!] well done, high quality.
I got it from an Italian family. It was only worn a few times and came in its original wrapping and box when I got it. When you see the big photos in the book you will be amazed by the detail of the emblems.

I have loved this ring for a long time and still do... really, this ring (plus box!) neatly represents the pinnacle of the art of ring design of the time and place... absolutely gorgeous.

Yes, the Albanian eagle.
While having some contact with italian collectors in the last weeks i have seen some similar rings and heard about. Some of this rings should be for italian solders for the albainian campaign 1939.
And there friendship rings. Greater Albania (1941-1944)/Italy and Greater Albania/Italy/Germany.
Rather rare italian made rings. Showing albanian eagle and italian eagle or albanian eagle, italian eagle and swastika. I meanwhile have seen pics of some different patterns from such rings.
This Addis Abeba rings are campaign rings for the italian campaign in Ethiopia 1935.

Yes G., this rings has 4 rather small vent holes.
Bottom row on the far right pic you can see 2 of them.

Italian youth. I think brass with gilding (colour of pics is real not good). Very small diameter of the band from about 11 mm.

I've only seen a few in 40 years collecting..
This is WW2 vintage, in its original box etc.

Silver,,gilt inner band with hallmarks:

All around the ring has a emblem from each branch of their military,, Paratrooper, Navy, Army, Tanker, airforce, and at the front is the emblem of a local shrine.. Great detail, well made. all will be seen in detail eventually...
