Hi,
as I can remember we had such a ring here a while ago, but I could not find the thread any more.
I had this ring in my collection for quiet a while, and as I now will have more focus on other parts of my ring collection I had it in my hands again.
And what most interesting is, that the ring is engraved on the inner ringband with "Norwegen 1942".
I think thats a good proove that these Norwegian made and marked rings, where also souveniers for German soldiers.
best regards, Bernhard
Yes, in my opinion too a nice period sovenir-ring.
I can remember this other similar ring.
And i can imagine the colours of the enamel have a meaning.
A ring i like.
Really nice ring! I would have guessed nationalistic colors of Norway and Sweden, but the green is throwing me off. Really excellent example, Bernhard
was going thru some boxes and came upon this ring.. Yes a Norge ring. I still haven't found the meaning of it but a nice piece and I enjoy it.
mine engraved with the port and 1942
maybe one day we;ll come across an advert,,or article. For now they are still mystery Norge rings..
In my opinion the answer is in this colours. I think they have a meaning.

I do not think that the colors mean something. That's just black.

I am sure patience is the key and we will find out more in future.
If i find the time i will ask a friendly guy and collector from Norway.
Maybe he knows more about this pattern.

I can not find other photos. This is "J.J."
S33,,,could this just be a black and white photo?!?
Hhmmm, interesting..Thanks Sniper33..
So yes a color photo and the ring is in black..
The colors are all the basic ones ,,Blue, Green, Red, Yellow and a few pastel type colors. Well so far the only thing we know is,,they are from the WW2 period, Norwegian related, Made correctly, hallmarked correctly.
Sometimes they are what they are!! Rings bought in occupied areas [Norway] no military theme, with either the soldiers initials or a loved ones..
I'm thinking they are gift rings as you rarely see a heavy worn example.. Rings bought and either thrown in the backpack or sent to Germany, and not worn very much...
Cool pieces and I feel should be included in a 3rd reich era theme collection.
In my opinion on this ring, the colors simply represent all the colors of the Nordic flags. Norway, Sweden, Finland, Denmark, Iceland, as well as the islands. No matter how the ring is worn the color pattern is still the same. Nice patriotic ring.Just trying to help.
I have the inside markings of that one somewhere, need to find it now
If you have such rings or other hallmarks. Write me.
