30.1.1936 TK Ring. - 10/22/2012 02:06 PM
Been a while since I last posted on the GD Forums but here goes:-
Could anyone tell me what significance of the date 30.1.1936 in the terms of the SS.
I know rings of marked with this date are pretty rare.
The reason I'm asking is that I purchased a ring a few months ago that belonged to a Hauptsturmfuhrer Adolf Laubmann (inc.Don Boyle COA).
This chap joined the SS in 1934 and served with the Deutschland, Der Fuhrer and the Das Reich Divisions. He also spent a while in the SS Battalion 'N' at Dachau. Quite a career - especially seeing that he received a bad head and leg wound on the Eastern Front in 1943 (just the Battle of Kursk).
I'm sure someone will know the significance of the date.
Thanks!
