Beautiful ring, Odal. The skull fontanel is worked out realistic. I like the design of bones and flower.

Don't have the exact pattern like yours, but a variation....maybe I could post new pics later.

there is a topic here somewhere on the variant of this ring [slightly different skull], although I can't find it,,,yet1

Here new pictures for comparison. The skulls are more or less the same ....the side decoration have the same flower and bones, but are in a different style.

The ring has several points of attention.

1)a fraction leftside on the ring
2)and 4) looks like the band is replaced with parts of the same or other ring band; soldered and filed flat.
3)the soldering seam on the backside of the band.

The skull is hollow and soldered like a nutshell on the frontside of the band.
The stamp 800 and F* . F* are in an in-cuse ( hollow oval shape) and raised in a fine line .

Real interesting ring and i like it too!

I agree with you, the skulls are nearby, only the shoulders have variations.
On your ringshoulders the area between skull and bones look much more than a sunflower as on my ring.

Odal, Indeed the ring has the exact same band decoration, with the � half sunflower� design.
Besides very little differences in the skull, th� difference is that this ring has a smooth inside , my ring has the incuse of the outside decoration.

- here are some quick shots of mine. I've had this a long time. Never know exactly what to think on these types as little or none in adverts or provenance are usually with them. I bought mine from an old timer standing in line at the US embassy in Kiev!

Nicely made ring, well finished inner band. Band design goes all the way round band with even a makers mark stamped on back rear.
The design is called the Eastern front skull because of both the Sunflower and Poppy flower. Some don't have the sunflower exactly but all have the Poppy,,there are other variations and size scales.

Gaspare, for now I have no answer about this ring. I will look if I find more. That can take some time. We stay alert.

In line at the US embassy in Kiev.....that is a memorable place to get a skull ring!
