Hello all ,

this topic to show you my poor experience in buying a "nice" NPEA on the net : externally all seemed OK but Inside :

an "house made" spring ... the dagger was soon sent back to the "Professional" in spite of a good blade and an original shape !

Who sold it to you? do you have any photos of the bad parts?

Hi Dave , this dagger was a proposal from a french seller on a local website . The scarboard was fully wrong (see the internal spring...) repainted , screw too short ... It was neither an Eickorn nor a Burgsmueller one.
The blade & the crosgards were however right (thanks to Ralf S. for his mail of confirmation).

Do you have more pics of the blade and guards?

Hi Kreta , pics of the guards are lost but were OK as per Ralf Siegert's message . The worst part was this runner spring probably made from a tin box , the blade was also correct :

Some SA daggers have runners like that. One or two long thin pieces that were attached to the throat by means of a slot cut in the throat, not by a rivet.

Worse news: The crossguards are not NPEA and the blade trademark is wrong for the nickel silver guards. I wonder if the blade was original at all and the felt buffer pad is too thick IMO.

Thanks friends for your opinions , I can then modify my title : "very bad experience" .

Happily for me the dagger has been returned to the seller ... but may be soon proposed on an european website ...
