Hi All, Way back on 10/29/1987 I sold my collection of TR Daggers to a dealer/collector named Rich (?)(I accepted $9,000 for 38 blades-IMAGINE!) I would like to track down a Gov. Dagger with hangers that was included in the grouping. All internal parts were correctly stamped "267". I have been thinking about that dagger lately and thought it might be fun to try and track the dagger down. For the current owner it might be nice to have some geneology to go with the dagger. So, If you own/have the piece or know of its exixtence, please post some info about it OR you can contact me privately at 1-201-755-1195(NJ) or jmj8593@cs.com. Good Hunting. Peace, Mark

Interesting was the dealer Rich Newells he sold at the Meadowlands show and the Max. I bought my Gov't from him but didn't open it for the # There were no hangers with it
Hi Ed, I believe that was his his name. A big man with Blondish hair(if I remember correctly). I also saw him at the Forks of the Delaware show. I made the opening tool out of an old screw driver. Got a jewelers file and slowly filed out the center until it lined up with the holes in the dagger top. I placed the 2 prongs into the 2 holes and tapped down on the han dle of the screwdriver-to loosed the nut. Slowly-VERY SLOWLY i tried to tuen the nut. Enentually it turned. I remember putting it back on NOT TOO tightly so it would be easy to open again,if needed. GOOD talking with you. Peace, Mark
