Sergey,

Very nice display, I especially like the simple additions of adler & cockade. They bring interest to the eye without detracting from the blade.

How do you have them suspended?
Posted By: Redsled Re: Few dirks. - 12/12/2016 02:43 AM
Very Nice daggers and display smile
Posted By: VAT69 Re: Few dirks. - 12/12/2016 09:02 AM
Many thanks, Colleagues!
All badges have been suspended by the own prongs. And dirks are fixed with silver wire. This is the easiest option for ordinary items.

Continuing this theme - design of the incomplete «carving knifes». All items are from basements and attics of the Koenigsberg.
In the collection they are not suitable, but it is a pity to throw. Therefore, these blades just decorate my interior.

Those are nice blades also smile

Thanks Bob!
I don't really like long blades. Therefore, these swords too are just hanging instead of paintings on the wall smile

WOW Sergey I love those 1st Model Luff swords and the SS is also beautiful. The only long sword I have hanging in my shop is a Chinese repo of a Samurai sword LOL. Bought it several years ago Never looked close thought it was a put together sword taken back from WWII only paid a couple 100 for it. Didn't even know the Chinese were making repo's out of them. I sold all my collecting of German Daggers Nazi Pistols and Japanese swords back in the 80's . Sort of got out of touch with them for around 35 years. Then a little message in my head started saying I want a German Dagger. So I bought a nice SA and then Had to have an SS. LOL Couldn't really afford it but I robbed Peter to pay Paul to get one. LOL Now some day I hope to have a Chained SS:) But that would be down the road a while. But I really enjoy the collections you and the other members have:)

In order not to multiply the themes I will post here.
My grandfather, a participant in three wars, NCO of the cavalry. One of the millions of ordinary soldiers. Most his WW1 awards were lost during the Nazi occupation.
This is not a hobby, but the human memory.

The Wall of Heroes is a great thing. I'm sure Bob, that your portrait is there too. Old War Horses should serve as an example to the young guys in each country!

Thank you very much, ZET! And you're absolutely right. Sometimes it's much harder to make an authentic entourage than to find a dagger.
