I have never seen one like this, with markings on the buckle hook. As well as I can tell, it's marked "35/39." I understand some authentic buckles are made in this configuration, but isn't this incorrect for a 1939 example? As seen on Gunbroker.

Thanks, Ric. That was my assumption. I find it odd that the fakers would change the reverse format from the norm to the one seen in the photo. Perhaps ignorance or trying a new angle to dupe collectors.

I think that when you see OLC in a diamond on anything, you should run..Lot's of crap on Gunbroker..

OLC in a diamond would be correct, differently from SS in a diamond.
