Howdy y'all,

I own a VZ24 with Waffenamt markings on it. After some research i found out that 11 divisions of the Heer used the VZ24 as their primary weapon. For those that don't know the VZ24 it is the Czech variant of the k98....it's almost identical.

At home i have a picture of some Dirlewanger members from which two are holding a VZ24 in their hands. I guess as the war progressed they started using what they could find for firearms....or re-use them.

Are there any folks here with pics of German soldiers (no matter what branch) with the VZ24?

Danke,

PF

The single fellow lounging on the grass is a mamber of the 4th W-SS Polizei Division. Police units often used a variety of different weapons, particularly captured firearms.
