Jim,

Lots of people are at the SOS show so you may not get an answer this week.

Yes, that is an original motto, very dark and typical for HJ-knifes by Klaas.

Herman

thanks very much for your time Herman, I see some HJ knives that people try to make motto darker, I passed on it, I would really like to have a early K&CO. HJ knife in nice condition, I am a deer hunter & love the 2 deer head maker mark on them, one came up @ local auction here but grips & diamond where messed with, I keep looking for a nice one, also I would trade my SMF HJ for one if anyone has interest in trade, when I have time I post files of another HJ knife, I think a parts knife or high end fake.

Best Regards

Hello Jim,

The Klaas 1938 HJ sold for over 1500 EUR... over priced. But these dark motto's are really typical.

K&co HJ's have also nice motto's, but not extremely dark...

Best regards,

Herman
