DD don't be jealous. You got beautiful collection too.
Like a transitional 1938 you have,i just can't find it.
Maybe some day
Stingray
Here is my latest find.
It's interesting 1937 transitional knife, with stamped number 3 on the hilt and also on scabbard leather hanger.
Rregards
Stingray
Stingray:
It just keeps getting better.
Great collection, my friend!
Wow!
John
Ivan, Now that is a real Quality Condition E.Pack Transitional hj knife with an added bonus of the No3 Stampings
Congrats My Friend
I have always loved the early Pack HJ Knives and Engraved oval panel Bayonets. True quality and top manufacturer work IMO. Also, the early SA and SS Daggers by Pack are just the best.
I'm speechless, I don't think I ever saw that many HJ's in one picture. absolutely amazing. I started my collection with these youth knives, I love em, and the quality of yours are top shelf.
Rich
Ivan,
Great transitional '37! Really top notch condition, my friend.
Hey guys
I would like to show you my latest find.
It's a transitional with the motto and large diamond.
But what's interesting,is the year 1939.
IMO this piece was made in beginning of 1939,just before they stop using the motto.
Guys,i would like to hear more opinions on this 1939 mottoed knife?
Stingray
Ivan, this must be a pretty scarce 1939 dated Transitional E.Pack hj!!!,
maybe these 1939 dated knifes were made up with mottoed blades they had to use up then they were date stamped 1939?
i see the hilt on this one is made from zinc,
Great Find my friend,
Regards Scott.
Hello Ivan,
This is the first 1939 Pack that I come across, so it for sure is a very rare knife!
A motto on a HJ knife, made after 1938, is always a difficult story: following the regulations, it should not be there.
Anyway, this is a very interesting piece and a great find, especially for a famous Pack collector like yourself!
Congratulations and thank you for showing it here.
Best regards,
Herman
1939 will a motto must be a fake!!
Its old & odd like me. I like it.
So do I.
I was being sarcastic cause I sold it to Ivan!!
Great to see you posting here my friend!
Hi I have just been looking at Your collection and I have found the knife which used to be mine (Transitional 1936 one). I'm affreid You have swaped the scabbards but it does not matter. Good to see it in good hands :-).
Now, that is one great set of trannies, Ivan.
John
Stunning John thanks for sharing Tony
Well done, Ivan!
You now have the most complete HJ Pack collection, congratulations!
Best regards,
Herman
Good job my friend!!
A few of those look familiar!
Thanks guys
You're right Paul,thanks
Stingray
Ivan,
E.Pack Made Top Quality hj Knifes & SA/SS Daggers Ect imo,
You Have a Top Pack Collection
Best Mac 66.
Could that possibly be a 1939 dated knife with a motto ??????
Thanks guys
Yes it's dated 1939 and i believe it is original.
Here are more pictures.
Regards
WOW ! What a great collection you have put together Ivan certainly took some dedication and persistence.
Simply madness to some, to others - simply beautiful madness. -Congrats !
Serge
[quote=stingray]Thanks guys
"Yes it's dated 1939 and i believe it is original"
Ivan,
i agree with you 100% my friend
Best Mac 66.
If Herman sees this, it will ruin his day. (Ref. Zeitler thread)
Don, you don't seem to understand, nor know me wel , do you?
At the addition of this piece to the topic - in last September- I already told Stingray that I believe his mottoed 1939 HJ by Pack to be 100% original. Why is that? The motto is complete right and shows all the typical Pack characteristics.
It might even be the explanation why you find no later HJ's by Pack.
Best regards,
Herman
Herman: You are correct, I do not know you well. However, your above comment contradicts your direct statement in the Zeitler thread that "No mottoed blades were produced after 1938". You can't have it both ways.
,
Hi Ivan,
What a wonderful hj by Pack with etched dedication, a great addition to your collection my friend !
Regards Mac 66.
Thanks Scott
Yeah, I'm really happy with it
Great catch, Ivan.
You have an amazing Pack collection.
John
Yes, good catch and a great collection
Dave
Ivan you have an amazing Pack HJ collection and this last addition fits in perfectly!
What a true bonus.
Just 1 advise my friend, just find a new host for your website, as i miss you lovely Pack collection!
About the 1939 Knife, well i owned a 1939 WKC Mottoed knife once, and the etch was undoubtful a WKC one, exactly like the 1938 one.
Like your 1939 one its all matches.
IMO they produced the Mottoed blades in 1938, and the RZM logo of 1939 was added in 1939 ( just older stock, why throw away a good blade?
Ger
What a unique and high quality very early eagle head Pack HJ you scored, Ivan!
That certainly must be your score of the year!
Many congratulations!
Herman
Thank you guys
Here is also one ,which I found at a last SOS show.
It's a last one I was missing.
1936 with ricasso.
Thx for sharing your unique Pack collection!
Just awesome!
Ger
Great to see your new additions Ivan !
Do you have all the Pack hj variations now in your collection ?
Regards Mac 66.
Thank you guys
Scott, I think yes ,but you never know what pop ups in one day
Wonderful, Ivan!
I never saw this 3 variants together!
Best regards,
Herman
Ivan,
Does that latest one have an anodized scabbard ?
I ask because I have an early Eickhorn with an anodized scabbard.
Dave
Hj Dave
If you talking about the one with etched blade then no,it has painted scabbard.
The 1936 it has anodized scabbard.
I would like to see yours early Eick.
Ivan ,
I need to find it and take photos. I'll start a new topic.
Dave
