My first dagger, seller had it direct from the widdow. Unmarked, can anything be said about manufactor ?
I dont think you will ever pin down the maker of the dagger but IMO it is of Mid period production it has the thicker crossguard butt. It appears the pommel and crossguard are aluminum with medallion inserts that would support the mid period production estimate as well. This one has allot of the same traits as my pack-triple grip wire as well as the medallion inserts.
Congratulations on your first dagger!Personally the first pattern Luft is one of the most beautiful.Happy collecting!Geoff
Hi Slaskman:
Welcome to the forum.
Congratulations.
The first pattern Luftwaffe is an excellent choice for your first dagger.
They are easily the most affordable chained dagger on the Third Reich market.
Someone should have warned you that dagger collecting is addictive.
Its too late now I'm afraid.
Just sit back and let the disease take hold.
Good 1st dagger!
Welcome to the show!
