Need opinion:

DLV Dagger has all nickel silver fittings, has never been cleaned or polished and has a silver tarnish and patina. It does not have any of the usual markings on the cross guard or scabbard throat. The leather covered grip is in excellent condition, the leather covered scabbard has two small holes on one side at the lower fitting. The blade does not have a makers mark but does have an unusual mark (see photo) and is also in excellent condition with some scabbard running marks.
Thanks

Hermanator
A very nice DLV. One of the nicest looking German daggers, my opinion.
Have no real clue on the unmarked. Possibly a out of spec reject, but looks awesome.
Very early model, used for model?
Hope to get to the bottom.

Thank you, I purchased it about 40 years ago and think it's time to let my collection go and put it up for sale.

This is the only mark I could find on the DLV blade, don't know what it is.

Herman
Never saw that mark on a dagger, but on firearms, keyhole, a forge mark on weapons.
Hope you get some input,
Ed
