as title says, I have seen a few tied differently, I have a photo of one in wear [see photo] but ones I see for sale are wrapped in the opposite way, any ideas on correct way? thanks

I would believe that your four photos show the correct way to tie.
I am also somewhat sure that during the time some officers tied there knots in there own way.
And for sure in the 75 years since they are tied every witch way but loose.
