I have my doubts about this KM dagger so I’m asking the forum for opinions. I don’t like how the eagle pommel attaches to the grip it should be a smoother transition. And the blade tip seems a bit narrow. The scaber, maker mark, fittings and etching looks good which is scary if this dagger is bogus.

Hi,
I'm short in time, but this is a put together item with mostly post war fake parts. Caveat emptor !
So many red flags. Etched maker mark, faked blade etching, postwar scabbard with pressed out scabbard bands ...
Best;

Seller operates out of one of the local antique shops in the Santa Barbara area. A few years ago I bought a U Boat badge from him that was bad. BTW he wants a walloping $1800 for this dagger. I guess he gets away with fleecing the local rich folks and tourist who don't know any better.

Here is pommel I spotted on a German site.
I can't remember seeing this variation.

Not genuine IMO.
