Hello !
I would like to show you this nice KM dagger with portepee, I would like to get some more opinion about this nice dagger befor buying.
Thanks for help in advance !
Best Regards
Marko
Hello, I am not the navy variants specialist but when I look at the scabbard with the distinct acanthus engraving, the special ring holders and the bands and the typical crossguard I would say we have here a textbook ALCOSO navy dagger. Due to the mark it seems to be an earlier type so the cellon portepee would be (imho) improper but could have been added later simply when the first one has gone to time.
I would like to hear a specialist?s opinion about the eagle (as I know nothing about it) but generally I think the daggers is ok.
I would check the length of the blade if it conforms with other navies because it looks a little short for me but it could be only in the pics.
Unetched blades are rare to find but not so popular by collectors.

Marko, may I ask you who is a seller?
Thanks.
Oleg.
Hello Oleg, thank you for your postings. Unfortunately I had to learn that there is something fishy...
First I do not like when one and the same dagger is presented in several forums at the same time -without notification- .
Now we see that the dagger is yours, no intention to sale.
I hope the member "magnusmilitaria" does react soon and tell us the background!

Oleg,
did I understood correctly that someone used your copyrighted photo w/o permission to sell a dagger he doesn?t own ?

Hello Hermann,
yes, you did. You understood it correctly.

Oleg.
