Looks like a classic "Voos" type to me. Beautiful blade. The grip wire looks to have been replaced. Very loosely wound.

Ivan, I have a no maker marked Voos-style etched Luft2 with grip wire very much like this one.

@stingray, what I can see from the pics it looks like a very nice VOOS-type dagger in near mint, nearly unworn condition. These unmarked VOOS-type daggers mostly do come with these yellow grips against the marked daggers which mainly came with true ivory grips.
Normally these VOOS and VOOS-type daggers do have the springy grip wire, but strange things did happen through all the period and all makers and especially due to the second (nice!) specimen of JohnZ I would think this certain kind of grip wire is a legit variant.

Having seen a few this one looks to be spot on.

So nice too see.

I'm far from an expert on these engraved blades,but it just doesn't look right to me.It appears to be slightly off center in a few pix,#'s 9,11,14 and 16 in particular.In #'s 9 and 14 it looks like the top etch has a slight gap from the edge while the bottom etch is touching the edge.In #'s 11 and 16 the center of the etch looks to be off center on the flat center of the blade.The second blade shown looks much more professionaly done to me.

Slightly off centre is not the kiss of death on etches. They were applied by hand and small variation in spacing can occur. But, it does flag the need to look at it more closely.

As is usual, the only true determination can most often be made with the item in hand and looking for other deviations from the norm.

I do see what you are talking about, but, by itself, this is only an indicator that more study may be required. Is the etch firm and deep, is it crisp, any other flags?

Here is more pictures

Imho this etch is even relatively well centered, I have seen much more off center VOOS and VOOS type etchings which were doubtless period.
Already in the first bunch of photographs (more proofed by the additional pics) it can be seen that the etching is deep, very crisp and correctly nickled.
Imho a period etching.
Naturally as mostly said, an in hand insprction would be best.
