Was hoping to get some assistance in determining the type and value of this dagger. It was given to me by my grandfather. Not sure how he acquired it, but he was a captain in the Italian Merchant Marine during WWII...

Thanks for confirming. It has an aluminum chain fitting, I think. Not in mint condition; any ideas as to value?

It is a bit difficult from the pictures given but I would suggest it is worth around £400 (Sterling)
