Are all authentic "Slant" Army grips longer than
standard Army grips? Do the tangs have more threads?

Bump!
I ask this question because the Wingen dagger I just received seems to have a slightly longer grip and the pommel has a higher dome top. This is my first army of this type.

Slant grips aren't, as a rule, longer, in my experience. Tangs seem to be normally threaded, to me.

Bet you beat me on that one by 10 minutes, if it's the one I'm thinking about. Nice dagger... Smile Bet it won't be your last after you've held it for a while. The Early ones are indeed special.... Holler at me and I'll tell you where another can be found that's from out of this world...... Big Grin

Hi Denny,
Bet it's yours, you have all the best ones. I looked at that Wingen a while telling my self how much I loved the look of the grip and a fairly rare maker for an army. I've been in and out of daggers since 62 but I never saw a slant grip till I saw yours. These things are fantastic looking. I need to get a case for it but for now I'll lay it between my Holler Army and my M33 Robert Klass SS with vert. hanger
