A few years ago , my Cousin's Son died suddenly ...way too young. Michael had a Heart defect that was never detected.
He always loved our Hobby and 6 years ago he decided to jump in and start his own collection.
I loved that kid and never though I'd end up Inheriting his things ...it should have been the other way around.
Last week , my Cousin gave me his Collection ..I thought you'd all like to see his pride and joy ---

Sorry to hear about the loss of your cousin's son. It's good that you were given his collection, rather than being lost to the world of ebay, or worse.

Mike,
That's tragic, so sorry to hear it.
I'm sure he would have been happy that everyone here can admire his fine grouping.
Thanks,
Johnny

Thanks Johnny , Tim ..I'll keep everything together , memories I guess.
He always loved spending time in my Collection room , always full of questions. One of his visits , I brought him by Chip Gambino and introduced him. Chip showed him that Army and he bought it.
I'm sure Chip will read this and remember him.

It just goes to show that we never know what the future holds for us.

I'm currently working on my first Million$$$. As soon as I get there, I'm going shopping!!! I miss collecting, but I don't miss the BS.

Jim; it was a pleasure chatting with you last night.

Thanks Serge ...I really hoped that he would have developed an interest in this Hobby so I would have had someone to pass some of my things to. As I mentioned before , I never dreamed that things would turn out the other way around and I'd be inheriting his Collection.
I guess TR collecting will out-live us all and then some.

Years ago I bought a Solid Gold Byzantine Coin , still have it.
Sometimes I look at it and wonder just how many Collections it has been in ..how many people over 100's and 100's of years owned it and treasured it and made it possible for me to now hold it in my hand.
I'll never know who they were or it's "Story".
Makes you wonder how far in time our "Relics" will travel ..and how many Collections they'll end up in.
