Quite honestly too hard to tell from only these photos, like any SS headgear, I'd be obviously ver cautious.

Try to get pics of interior, and details, like pull tabs under the flaps, etc. That would help.

The trap looks hand applied in an attempt to mimic a machine applied effect. This alone would cause me a lot of suspicion.

First of all, an M43 with grommets is a big red flag. Although not impossible, you very, very rarely see authentic caps with them. Add the fact that thousands of repro M43's have grommets and you already have a potential problem with this one.
Another possibility is that this is a genuine Army M42 cap with added peak and then the SS trap insignia added sometime post war. By the way, it looks real, the trap I mean.
An interior photo would confirm but I would say that the cap is not real based on these photos.
