I've had this GAB for about 5 years, always thought it to be an unmarked Frank & Reif, or a copy (due to the solid areas below the eagle). Comparing it to many F & R examples, I never could match it up. I finally got around to sending photos of the badge to Frank Heukemes. Frank informs me that the badge is an original GAB, but not a F & R. Anyone else ever run across one of these before ?

Franks' web site, worth checking out.

Jamie, can't say that I have ever seen this example before.
Is that a solid straight down piece I see below the head of the grenade?

Smile to the right of the pin when reviewed from the reverse.
On most examples the outline of the grenade head is contoured. Smile
An interesting example, thanks for showing it. It must be, a not often seen variant badge maker.

: Oh sorry, I see what you're talking about. True, I've not seen another like it.
