If this is incorrect area, I apologize.
Is this common badge a "collectible"
and if so what might the value be?
My non tr collector friend claims this guy
was a "trash man" in hamburg.
Thanks for your help

although a common medal to have the award document is a plus any day and doubles the value of a 35.00 medal easy .As for the trashman theory well this medal has cross swords for war related merit unless he was picking up the slops under fire in Berlin late 45 Big Grin he would have the merit cross without swords

Sanitts in this instance is probably refering to a medical orderly.
Obergefreiter being his rank. (In 1945 He would have two stripes, if over six years service one pip and two stripes).
The section was located in Hamburg. For the rest we need a little closer and darker image. I can make out Schleswig.

I never tried to read that DJ the new glasses are on the way next week then watch out Big Grin. But that is a nice late war doc to a medic for sure and the one word appears to be staffel shleswig
