Here are some more medals I have bought or collected recently. Thought I would share, eventhough there isn't alot of real rarities I figured it would boost interest in forum.

Some nice bits you have there Adam.

Can't comment on the medals really as they aren't my area, but your suspicions regarding the two green enamels are correct I'm afraid. Both fakes.

Apart from the fact that they are well known amongst enamel collectors, the first clue to catch the eye would be the pin plate holding the pin to the badge. This type of narrow, oval plate with clipped ends is only found on modern badges.

Cheers

That was my thoughts, thanks for the comment! I bought them back in the 20th century before I knew much I to noticed the pins and that made me really suspect of them, and I just wanted conformation of that. The other metals I show are mostly veteran pick ups, beside the to first metals which I used old English Pounds I run across and got for free so I bought them metal at no out of pocket expence, and yes pounds are not worth anything to alot of people over here, this was not the first time I had pounds given to me which is great in a hobby where people in england sell stuff too only problem is they had to exchange them as they were old currency but were worth the same. Thanks again for the comments!!!

Adam, as to the medals it's hard to tell. The ones in the case are in all probability OK. The first two would take sharper closer images for my old eyes. The repros can be very good.

I pretty sure about the ones in the case as the provedents is good and they were all veteran aquired but I am not sure about the two first metals I will post closer pictures if I can later for you to look at. Smile Thanks and like I siad before I won't try to fake it, I really don't know much about medals, I have collected for around 9 years but my eyes have been focus elsewhere in the hobby. Big Grin
