I know that this isn't really the forum for docs but I posted a picture of my Kliengärtner doc with a badge the other day & thought that I show a couple of others.
Please forgive & add yours if you have any....
First the NS Altherrenbund.
Cheers
Don
Opfer-ring.
This one is interesting as I suspect that the owner was also a badge collector as there is only the initial stamp inside, just enough to get him the badge.
The badge is for the Sachsen Gau which matches the Ort.
A hard one to find, the DBV.
Cheers
Don
The Kliengärtner.

Don
Lastly the Stenografenschaft. I'm afraid that the colour burnt out a little here for some reason. The cover is a deep blue.
Cheers
Don
Great idea! I unfortunately have none to share so will sit back and enjoy. I long to tie items together in groupings but continue to get distracted.
Thanks, --dj--Joe
Thought to bring this interesting thread back around. Any other examples out there?
--dj--Joe
Don, I can forgive you !!
Thank you very much for posting your badges
and their documents. I really appreciate it. The documents give the feeling that I can " touch history " a bit more .
Cheers,
Benten
Don,
That is cool! I just saw the last badge you have there in a vets stuff a couple weeks ago, never knew what it was. Is the stenograhers pin hasrd to find?
Fritziii
Thanks lads.
Fritziii, it's not one of the more common ones but I wouldn't go as far as to say rare. There are other Steno' badges that are far rarer.
Cheers
Don
Don, would you consider, as time allows posting an informative thread on the Steno' badges? I for one and I am sure others would appreciate it.
Regards, --dj--Joe
I'll give it a go. Unfortunately I only have three badges, one members lapel & one members stickpin & a golden honour stickpin. All unmarked, I'm wondering if any were ever maker marked.
Once I track down some of the other Steno' badges out there I'll sort something out.
Cheers
Don
Thank you, Don.
Regards,--dj--Joe
Another set I recently found, Reichsverband des Kraftfahrgewerbes
Cheers
Don
This is too interesting of a thread to languish in the back pages.
Any other Organisation badges out there with documents?
I am working on one and will post it if I get it.
--dj--Joe
Here's one I've been meaning to post for a while. Unfortunately most of the silvering has worn from the badge so it doesn't show up so well. I've been waiting for a nicer one to turn up but it hasn't so far.
Cheers
Don
Don, Nice set. Thanks.
I actually prefer the worn badges they seem much more convincing to me. I know wear can be reproduced but the difference between buffed and use worn can usually be detected.
I like Robert's 2nd. example on GMIC. Perhaps we could get him to swing bye and post it?
Congrats on a nice find. --dj--Joe
Not sure if these count burt here are a couple I have.
andy
next
Unfortunately not matching numbers
last one
Thanks Joe, I don't think Robert knows about this forum I'll ask.
Andy,
Nice to see you over here. I'm jealous of your NSDFBSt book, been looking for one for ages well done! What maker is the badge please?
Cheers
Don
Hi Don
thanks for the nice comments. It is marked W.D.Ges.Gesch.
regards
andy
Andy, nice items indeed! Thank you for sharing them. Interesting Bayern badge, what did it commemorate?
--dj--Joe
While I had the camera out I thought I'd do another.
Cheers
Don
Nice DRV pairing Don. The mitgliedsbuch I was after did not pan out, perhaps I will have something to show down the line.
--dj--Joe
Another, this was seen before elsewhere on the forum with it's previous owner.....
DAF Jugend.
Cheers
Don
This is an invitation & a membership badge for the "Associazione Italo Germanica di Cultura" (The German-Italian Culture Association). The Italian equivalent of the German "Deutsche-Italienische Kulturgesellschaft", an organisation whose remit was to promote closer relations between Germany & Italy through their love of art & culture etc
Back to the Landesschießen, a certificate & awards for the 3 year Gaumeister badge. The larger badge is serial numbered to the document (number on the doc is obscured by the large badge)
Cheers
Don
Don, was the DAFJ pin a short lived emblem? Got a feeling it will be a cold day before I run across one.
--dj--Joe
I'm not sure Joe, I imagine so. Probably taken over by the HJ.
Cheers
Don
Well worth another boost to the top.
--dj--Joe
Joe,
You're absolutely right! Those are some fantastic photographs and thanks to all of you for sharing your wonderful sets with us. I mean that stuff is really first-class and just a pleasure to look at.
Great work gents.
Bill
Any new items to add?
--dj--Joe
I think that I may have a couple more but will need to find & photograph them first. It may take a while before I have the time....
Sorry
Don
Don, no problem. The items you collect are well worth the suspense.
--dj--Joe
Sorry Joe I still haven't had the time to dig out some bits & photograph them.
In the meantime here are a couple of bits that I think that you have seen before on another forum. However due to the large size of the document (A3), if I were to place the pin on it to take a picture it would be too small to make out any details.
So here they are separately.
It's an "award" in recognition of the volunteers of the 1914/18 war. "Kameradschaft der Kriegsfreiwilligen von 1914/18" in the NS Reichskriegerbund. As you can see by the thickness of the stickpin, the badge is tiny which is why I didn't put it on the doc to photograph it. No marking on the reverse except for a silver mark.
Don, thank you. Most interesting pin and a wonderful document.
You have jogged my memory that I must add one of those pins to my want list.
--dj--Joe
Finally dug the camera out, unfortunately the winter light isn't perfect......
Firstly a small DRK badge with it's card.
Secondly a more unusal set, the Volksmissionarischen Bewegung.
Standard size & mini pin...
I've not seen this before either. I was aware of a 1933 dated Luther Tag (tinnie), no swastikas and just a maker on the reverse.
Most interesting the way these pins are made with the reverse engraving. The rope border appears to be raised.
Thank you Don for sharing.
Regards, and happy holidays, --dj--Joe
Don,
Thanks for sharing your fine collection with all of us, it's always a pleasure seeing your latest posts.
Merry Christmas and a great New Year!
Bill
Thank you Joe & Bill. Joe, yes the rope is raised & can be felt if you run you finger nail across the back.
Merry Christmas & a Happy New Year to both of you.
Cheers
Don
Thought I'd dust the camera off again, although I think I need a new one as I can't seem to get any decent results from it these days.
Here's the Deutshe Rechtsfront set, the document is oil cloth.
Cheers
Don
Beautiful shot of a beautiful pin + document.Thanks.
Are these maker marked and is there more than one maker?
Don,
That is a very nice looking pin! Thanks
Thank you Gentlemen.
Dean,
The sole maufacturer of these were Klotz u. Kienast, & originals are always marked.
I've attached a shot of the mark. I also thought you'd like to see a shot of it alongside the much rarer honour pin.
Cheers
Don
Thanks a lot Don for that info and the additional pictures.
I didn't know the honor pin even existed.
These pins have a very cool look to them imo.
Would anyone happen to know the criteria for wearing these?
Thanks
I'm glad that you like them Dean. The ordinary pin was a membership pin for the organisation. I suspect that the honour version was either for long membership or for service to the organisation.
Here's a 10 year service doc & badge for the company of Philipp Holzmann A.G. It also came in silver & gold for 15 & 20 years respectively.
Cheers
Don
What a nice find Don.
Interesting company history.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Philipp_Holzmann--dj--Joe
Thanks Joe. Here are a couple of better images of the badge.
Another Holzmann item that is more common is their "Limes medal" issued for the building of the west wall... It's a Zinc piece so has lost most of it's finish, but the bronze wash can still be seen on the reverse where it has been protected by the case.
Cheers
Don
Don,, those Holzmann pieces are very nice!
Agreed. I don't see the nonportable awards anymore. Used to see them every now and then. The finish on Don's example is quite nice.
--dj--Joe
Here is mine. All the pins are the stick variety with different marker marks.
Terry, nice grouping, sure look good all together.
-dj--Joe
TK,
Very nice grouping of colonial items!
Best!
Bill
I thought I had more documents, here they are.
Some nice pieces Terry. I narrowly missed a lovely portrait photo showing one of these in wear a couple of weeks ago....
Cheers
Don
Here's something from an organisation that we do not know much about the "Reichsbund der deutschen Freilicht- und Volksschauspiele e.V." roughly translated as the Reich League of German Open-air and popular dramas.
I can't say 100% which, if either, of the pins shown belong to the Urkund however they do look nice together.
Cheers
Don
This is fantastic!!!
Great stuff!
Thank you so much for sharing!
Good hunting,
Johnny
Don, I recall your finding these interesting org. badges. I've had my eyes peeled ever since with no luck.
Very nice document. If I recall correctly the emblem is a plant, and? Can't find my notes.
--dj--Joe
This is deserving of another trip to the top.
--dj--Joe
Very nice Joe, thank you for the explanation & for sharing it with us.
Don
JoeW, thank you.
