"Mann" is context-dependent. It can also mean "one," depending on the context. For example, "So wird Mann Fallschirmj�ger" translates as "Thus one becomes a paratrooper." The sentence has to be evaluated as a whole, to determine which meaning is intended.

Be careful ... in the case you describe (as "one") the word is written "man", meaning always with one "n" (not with two) and it�s always small lettered.

'Mann'can also be used in the plural: 'Er nahm 20 Mann mit' - 'He took twenty men with him'

Hi!

"Mann" usually singulary but can in some cases be plural too
So "Mann" means man or men.
