Geoff,
"Das Grüne Herz" translates to The Green Heart. This full inscription "Das GrüneHerz Deutschlands" was marked on the receiver of DSM34 training rifles made under a cooperative production arrangement by a group of firms in Thüringen. Jon Speed states that approximately 6,000 rifles were made by this group. He also states that the lowest SN reported is 930 and the highest is 5920.
If possible, could we see some pictures in the Historic & Period Firearms forum?
