hi all,,,i have a brit ww i victory medal,rim is stamped,J.80075 G.A. CABANNES. BOY 1 R.N.,,i presume it for royal navy,,,is the first number recipients service number?...what about the BOY designation,,very young volunteer aboard a warship???...thanks to all who can help or point me in the right direction,,,robert
your corect with his number. you can research this if you contact the m.o.d. records office, are you a relative?
