Picked this up today from an estate. Paid $450 for it. Comments welcome.

Blade was ground with a file and not smoothed out.

This is a "textbook" EP&S. Do you have some doubts about the remains of the dedication or the way it's been ground?

Thank you for the responses.

Is the SS Rohm ground name only?

777, I posted it for verification, and a little bragging that I could still find a dagger. It looked 100% untouched other than when the blade was ground. I just wanted to see what others thought.

Nope, with typical German efficiency he went 'whole hog' and took it all off!
Rest of the dagger pretty nice.

JW: I see you're from California. I bought this 40 years ago 'in the blind' with no picture and pre digital cameras or
internet from someone in California from an ad in the old Der Gauliter magazine. Was it you???
If so, what a small world!!

Sorry Joe, I was here but that was not me. I have a Hammersfahr myself but not a ground Rohm. They are beautiful daggers. I do remember purchasing daggers over the phone. Seems there were a lot less crooks back then.

Sadly true.
