It's being offered by "sirgregoryjames", a Seller who goes by many aliases that we've discussed before and a new discussion thread has been recently placed in the New Collectors forum.

Very interesting description:

"I remember my gradmother using it to cut meat with back in the late 60's. But I must say the blade is in nice condition, it has not been sharpen or polished, and there are no dings, or anything like that on it aat all."

I cannot imagine my grandmother cutting meat with a dull knife.....

Yes and also notice from his description that he's not a very good photo taker, yet he sends out a weekly mailer with pictures all over it. He also says that he doesn't know anything about the military stuff his "Grandfather" has, he's done his research on the internet... Big Grin

Anyway, we know not to even bother with his description...

Thoughts on the dagger itself? I for one think the inscription is too close to the makers mark.

I suggest all read the "New Collector/Haven't the Foggiest" forum about this seller. The dagger has possibilities, but the description and the baloney in it bother me to the point I would not bid on it.

I agree SDP on Kobers like most Rohms the makers Mark is a lot closer to the crossguard. This guys a joke i wish he would stop sending me emails..

He says it's made by Eickhorn?
Can't he read either?
