I almost missed this one. Was bored at the auction and decided to dig around. Found this box on a shelf. Looked inside and seen it was a german hat box. Didnt know what the hat was. After I bought it. I looked farther and found the badge. I found out what the badge is for. But what are the hats.

Mananero,

These caps were the posessions of a university student who belonged to a fraternity or students league. This type of hat isn't as sought after as military or para-military headgear and therefore not as expensive, however, to find them in this condition is fantastic. I should imagine that any cap collector would appreciate adding a splendid pair like these to his display, along with the Ehrhardt badge it makes for a terrific package, a very good find.

Best!

Beautiful items. I would think the fact the inside of the box is named would be a feather in any collector's cap, pardon the pun wink
