My friend just got this Spencer repeating rifle a few hrs ago!

He had gotton some lugers and just got this Indian War period
Spencer repeating rifle circa 1860! From the numbers it places
the period!

Even folks that don't know guns have heard of this rifle!

This Spencer rifle came from old lady that sold my buddy the lugers and rigs shown in other thread!PVON

Today he got a Remmington 1874 single shot Rolling Block rifle that I have not seen
or took pics yet from same lady!

The NM means New Model on barrel!

Beautiful carbine. All Spencers bear the 1860 patent date however the New Models date from 1867-68.

I do love the old ones,,
When I was a kid a dealer I knew offered me one of his Civil War sharps for $200, but I wanted a Luger. I wish I had took him up on it. He always looked out for me and always gave me a good deal on my collecting hobby.
