How desirable is a all matching dated 1940 G26 with all kinds of waffenampts on it including the stock plus a Marine proof on the stock? The rifle is in top condition.
Thanks
I asume that you are talking about a G29 or a 66o code G29/40? Is this one made to the same config. as a 98k or is it in the Austrian stock and fittings?
Id say that either in nice matching condition would bring around 1500 give or take a few hundred. Like everything else it depends on if you get near retail or sell to someone who is looking to just turn it over fast for some profit.
jds,
Thanks for the reply. My mistake you are correct it's a G29. I guess another wild weekend at another gun show takes a toll on you. And it looks exactly like the K98. I will be buying this Mauser from a fellow arms society member. I think any German Marine proof Mauser whether it be WWI or WWII are hard to find. I will post pictures later this week.
Here are the pictures. One correction the bolt is a mismatch.
Naval proof and waffenampt.
Dow,
Nice clean rifle. Looks like were at the range with it.
