These were favored and used by paratroopers (and any one lucky enough to get one!) not as much range or stopping power as the M1 garand, but when space was an issue, this was weapon.

Bob, sweet rifle!!! I had one of these a couple years ago, pulled right out of the woods here, very early Inalnd with flip sight and all, had a guys name scratched on the side of the stock,I still kick myself for letting it go, I know who I sold it to and he said if he ever let it go I'd have first refusal. Congrats!!!

Make sure you know what you're looking at before buying one. There are a lot of humped up put together guns out there, pretty much like trench shotguns.
